Nivea Soft Rose Review
With the weather turning dry
here, my skin, heels, lips have turned dry too. For my dry lips, I have found a
good lip care product from Nivea. Nivea has good range of products. I like the
brand as a whole.

My experience with Nivea Soft
Rose:
Package: A white twist up tube
with a rosy pink cap to the tube is the look of Nivea Soft Rose. This lip care
product is a beautiful mild baby pink in color.
Nature: The lip balm is buttery
soft and the first swipe just removes the hardness of the dry lips. It is thin,
yet it stays on without fading. Usually thin textured lip products fade off
very soon from the lips.
The swipe does not make the lip
balm to get stuck to the dry pointy flaky texture on my lips. Yes, my lips have
turned that dry. And I am amazed how this lip balm does not get clumped at
those dry areas too. It turns the dry
hard flakes into soft flakes easily. Then I need to scrub my lips a little to
remove those dead skin from my lips.
There are very minute pinkish glowing
particles in the lip balm. I believe they are the ones that give the lips a
rosy glow and shiny finish. The lip balm gives a pink glow to my lips, not a
pink tint; lips only glows out of suppleness and softness.
Staying power: It stays on my
lips for 6 hours. I am a stay at home mom, so no much moving outdoors with my
baby. So, it is easily beyond 6 hours some time. This is my day time lip balm.
For night time use I want more
waxy and thick lip balm, (just a personal preference). I switch to some other
pot of lip balm. (I have a couple of more lip balms:-P)

Pros of Nivea Soft Rose:
- Very thin texture.
- A perfect day time lip balm for me, both indoors and outdoors.
- Very good staying power.
- Gives a mild pink glow to the lips.
- Most importantly, a very good moisturizer for dry lips.
- Turns the dry flakes into soft ones making easy to exfoliate the lips.
Cons of Nivea Soft Rose:
- When the dry flakes turn soft, they tend to be visible on the lips.
- Not a tinted lip care product, but that is not what it is meant to do.
Recommendation: Yes, for a glowy
soft pink lips, or for a base for lipsticks Nivea Soft Rose is a good purchase.
This is going to be a lip care product for me this season.
